Several years ago a buddy took me white bass fishing on the Brazos above Whitney. It was private owned land with a drop box at the gate that you left your daily fee in (then it was about 10.00 for a day). Supposedly there were several places like that at the time. Is anyone aware if any thing like that still exists in that area and if so where? Currently without a boat and figure something like that would be great for me and my grandson. Thanks for any replies and/or suggestions.

That place was cedar bluff, really good this time of year for the bank walkers. Unfortunately they shut that down several years ago and unless you know somebody that area is only accessible by boat. I wish I could be of more help

Oh for the good ole days. A decade before Cedar Bluff, there was a place upstream on the other side called Spring Creek. Great fishing below the rocks.
