When a Humminbird is in the simulation mode,is there a way to change the lake map that comes up? The default lake on mine is somewhere in Alabama(I think)

That is where the unit was made. Go to Charts, scroll to the bottom and you will see "lake list" cursor over to the right and select your lake.

You will have to go the route advised in simulation mode.

To make your lake of choice the Simulator lake, you move the map curser to that body of water and in the Chart View select (Set Simulation Position) and right arrow the 4 way button to set it.

What that does is just display your water of choice in Simulator, the data displayed like depth, etc is still at the Simulator lake, since that is the only data that was recorded for the Simulator.
