Pardon the length. We hit a stump on Fork and had to have my lower unit replaced. Picked my boat up from Nautical Mile Marine last Wednesday after the repair. Took it out for break in on Thursday. 45 minutes in and the new lower unit started making noise in forward. Loaded it up and took it back to shop. Something wrong with new SEI lower unit. Disappointing. Here is where the great customer service comes in. Nautical Mile sent the unit back expedited. While SEI's warranty policy can be debated (have to send the broken unit back for inspection before repairing or replacing) I was able to get it turned around and a new unit headed back to me for installation today. In the meantime Nautical Mile Marine Offered to take a unit off another motor to get me going for my tournament this weekend. They went over and above and SEI went the extra mile to help me out. Good to know there is still some great customer service out there today.
