Did you catch more LMB 24" and bigger in 2014 or 2015. How do you feel about your chances this year with all this new water in the North Texas lakes?

Biggest on a yak for me is a 10..... So this year I am going to break that probably by accident crappie fishing while clinging to the yak for dear life.....

2014 I got about 8 over 24 with a couple just over 25". 2015 I had zero 24" but 5 over 25 and one over 10. I hope this year to do better with all the flooded vegatation I'm look for a good spring.

I just returned to bass fishing in 2015, so none in 2014. I managed 3 over 24", one being my PB. I don't fish up north much - I live in SE Texas.

I caught more + 24" LMB in 2014 than 2015. I think a lot was due to all the rain and poor fishing conditions. I have no idea what to expect in 2016.

It's odd... In 2014 with low water I caught A LOT more fish in the 21-23 inch range. Literally dozens more. No fish over 24 though. This last year I caught a lot fewer quality fish, but I did get some 24 plussers.
I just can't imagine this spring not being really good with all the flooded cover, but heck I thought this last fall would've been better too... we'll see.

2014 was much better than 2015. 2016 has started out decent for me so we'll see. Winter has been warmer than usual and depends on spring rains. Hopefully the fish are getting used to their newer surroundings and it won't matter how much rain we get.

I also caught more big fish in 2014, including a few 23+ (my ruler is 23). I suspect 2014 was the best year for big fish ever for me. Funny I never thought about it as pattern for everybody. I just assumed it was a lucky year for me.
Can someone explain how the Feds count recreational Red Snapper catch?
