Spent several hours on the lake yesterday and finding and catching fish was even harder than it has been. I eeked out 21 including some magnum white bass, short hybrids and a legal hybrid. Substantial moonlight I think made them less hungry in the AM. As promised here are two screen shots of the pattern I am looking for for whites on 12 to 18 fow structures right now. This on shows a few fish on bottom close to one another. This is really what I'm looking for - continuous fish hugging the bottom. If these fish stayed put, I could sit there and catch a limit. But, they move around. Note this shot left side is X2 magnification of bottom portion of column:

Normally I would have mistaken the first pic for rocks and the second I would have missed that completely. I need to pay more attention..... Thanks for another great lesson Dennis!

Thanks for sharing, Dennis. The first pic, that's fish. But the second one on my Lowrance graph, I usually pass. Lol. Very interesting.

Thanks for sharing so much information Dennis. It cracks me up when I see posts for sandbass/hybrids/stripers that are photoshopped to white out the background. Those fish are constantly moving. LMAO!

Dennis you have shown me how you spot the fish lying on the bottom bit I'll be darned if I've learned to spot them yet. But I've not given up!
