Every time I deploy my Terrova it has the continuous learning beep. I link it to my remote and can see everything on my remote, but can't control the unit. It still works with the foot pedal though. Next time I deploy it the same issue starts all over again. I have a brand new battery in the remote and my boat batteries are fully charged. Any thoughts or suggestions.

Have you tried disconnecting from battery then reconnecting?

If it is under warranty, call Minn Kota and take it in for repair. If not, I'd start by borrowing a remote and see if your remote is bad. I just sold my ipilot head to someone who's unit's spotlock had stopped working but everything else worked. The new head allowed the spotlock to work again. So, they can be finicky when they go bad. Probably going to have to take it in to a repair shop and have them diagnose it for you.

Could possibly be the control board in the head or remote problem. Try removing the remote batteries and leave outer for a few minutes, then replace batteries and re-learn the remote to head unit

It paired with the motor, but would not control it. The wired foot control is still working fine.

Bout the only other thing I would suggest if possible switch the control link with someone, other than you may have to call Minnkota and see about the control board

I am swapping to an Xi5, but I wanted to get this one working good for it's new owner. I guess I'll be selling it for less than I planned.

If you don't mind me asking, why are you switching to the Xi5?

If you don't mind me asking, why are you switching to the Xi5? It is compatible w/ the Lowrance electronics that I use and the anchor mode is much more accurate. The Terrova will not keep you anchored in a small enough area to fish brush piles. The Xi5 will.

I know someone that had a head unit that works except for the spot lock. I sold him mine to replace it. He might be interested at selling it so you could atleast have a workable remote to help sell it even if spotlock won't work. Not sure if he wants to sell but can give you his name of you are interested

Thanks for the info, I'm trying to decide between the minn kota or the motor guide.
