Gentlemen, Please Help me! There are so many different Tournament organizations in this area that I'm dizzy from reading. I need help in making some decisions. List the organization(s) that you have fished in and tell me what you like or dislike about it. I don't want to spend a couple of years finding it out by myself (plus the wasted money & frustration). I am interested in mostly in individual tournaments but would like to hear about team action also.
I would like to stay around North Texas to East Texas to Southeast Texas areas. Toledo Bend & Sam Rayburn is about as southeast as I would like to go.

Ranger, I have heard very good things about JC Outdoors Lake Fork solo series. JC Outdoors is a very well run trail and from what I have heard it's a solid bunch of guys fishing the trail with a few regulars who fish it annually. That is all I know, but wanted to share that info as I did some of the same research last year.

Dude, Media Cowntown Individual division!!. Fish my first tourney with them. Been with them for 3 years now. Best group. Fun and competitive. The Media Circuit has individual and teams. Our first tourney is next week 31st @ Squaw. Followed by Lake Worth, EM, Grandbury.

Come on out!!

Ranger 2,

We invite you to come out and fish in our Bud Light Trail (BLT) tournament program. There are several team divisions to choose from in the areas you mentioned.

We will also have our BLT Solo Challenge schedule posted soon.

Contact Chris Davis at 214-616-5693 with any questions you may have. Visit our website at www.usafishingtrails.com to see our schedules for the various divisions we offer.

We will be on Pines this Saturday for our Longview Division and Rayburn this Sunday for our Rayburn Division.

Hope to see you at the lake,

USAFT STAFF

Borntofish1, I have never been to those lakes but I will be doing so in the future. Media seems to be popular in this area & some of the lakes that I would like to fish are on their list as well. Thanks for your input.

If you would like to fish a trail that draws more than 40 boats consistently there is only one... Basschamps (Team Trail). Individual wise, good luck. There hasnt been a good drawing individual trail around here in the last 10 years. My honest opinion is that there are multiple trails out there that are run well and have great TD's, I guess in the end it comes down to what you are looking for in a tournament trail... do you just want to fish a trail that pays 3 - 5 places that you cant make your money back or recoup expenses unless you win, or do you want to fish one that a top 10 pays you back your entry and nearly all expenses? I'm not trying to get rich by anymeans, but its sure nice to come out even or ahead on prefishing and tournament expenses when you do well.
