Anyone fishing these areas for trout or other species?
If so how is it going?

The planned December stocking below the Lewisville dam was rescheduled to February due to the water being released. There is another planned stocking later this week, but I doubt that will happen since the Corp is once again releasing a large volume of water.

With as high as LL is it looks like they will be letting water out for a while.

Hoping to hear how people are doing at Southlakes.

I fished Southlakes park pond on 1/18 in the afternoon for a few hours. I saw lots of people fishing, but nothing being caught. Same went for me. I was fishing chartreuse and red power bait. I had one bite and that's it. I saw several trout jumping and several being eaten by comorants.
Anyone else fishing it and if so how did you do?

i was there yesterday in the afternoon. About 20 people fishing, no one catching anything. Water was very muddy.
That pond doesn't feel very "alive" to me.

Only ever fished it a few times as I am an avid bass guy and have never heard of anyone catching bass there. However the pond receives soooo much pressure it's always an adventure trying to get them to bite there consecutively.

Yeah I'm really disappointed this year. It's been really off and muddy and trout fishing has been tough. Seen a couple guys catch some cats while fishing for trout. Bass are in there but I've never done good in the winter for them.

i gave up and went to my go to blue gill pond for some excitement :P
