Maxima Ultragreen or Cameleon mono. Typically 10 or 12lb.

Fluoro sinks. Kills the action on floating jerkbaits. Retards hook sets on suspending baits in my limited experience.

Braid gets wet and also kills action after 20 or so casts.

Mono stays buoyant the longest of all line types. That's why I use mono on all floating lures and many suspenders.

For suspending jerkbaits I was using 14# Sunline Sniper but seen better hookups and less lost fish when I switched to 14# Sunline Reaction FC. Has more stretch than Sniper or Shooter.

The flouro doesn't kill the action to the suspending IMO but floating yes. That being said I have caught them with both mono and flouro. I use 12LB Trilene flouro. If I use mono I use 12-15LB big game (Depends on where im throwing it)

10lb Seaguar Invizx flouro for me. I have never had a problem with the baits sinking out of the strike zone. JMO and it always yields well for me.

I usually throw 10-12 pound Fluorocarbon. I don't think it sinks fast enough to make a change to the suspension of the bait, but mono floating will definetly cause the bait to rise

Sunline Reaction FC

I use 10# 90% of the time, but there are times when I'll dip down to 8# test. This line is the ultimate jerkbait line, the best, the "cream of the crop", the "bee's knees", whatever you wanna call it! It's super limp, very manageable, super strong, and most importantly, sensitive. You're gonna want to use 8-12# test line for a jerkbait, and the smaller the diameter, the better; think about how long a fish gets to look over everything about your bait. This line will definitely get the job done!
