How many Fish did you break off in the last year, and what type of line were you using?

I broke off 4 fish and all were on 2 different brands of Fluorocarbon. One fish broke off mainly because the drag froze up. Another was probably should have been retied, the others should not have happened.

Thanks

3 or 4 but I would not blame it on the line I used. I usually just use Trilene big game 12 pound. Practically all of them were either a bad knot or frayed line that I just didn't re tie. Now I check the frayed line thing a lot.

Mustad Pro Plus is what I have the most of but P-Line CXX moss green copolymer I like 15 lb on my moving baits. I like 20 lb on my jigs,Carolina rigs,Texas rigs or anything on bottom. Wacky rigs and top waters I use 15 lb also. I think copolymer last longer before going bad also. IMO

Thanks

Flurocarbon seems too fragile at the knot for me. Maybe I got bad spit... fish

One. I broke off 12 lb mono on a pretty good fish this past fall, but it was because I was prefishing and didn't re-tie after having another fish wrap me around a stick up. The bad part was the lure I lost was a Yellow Magic, so it cost me $17-$18.

I Broke off 3 on hook set, all flourocarbon... but that is also all i throw so nothing else had a chance. Mainly it was older line or me forgetting to retie, i have worked on my hookset to help eliminate snapping hooksets

2 - both on 10# Berkley Vanish. I believe both instances were my fault for not retying enough.

two times with 65 pound power pro. I know I used it in the brush way to much... Not sure how large the fish were, but I had just caught an 8.5 pounder about 10 minutes before. I cut about 10 feet off and did not have another line break the rest of the trip. I love Falcon!!!
