To the guys that own this unit.
I just go the HELIX 9 and when i go to my map/chart view it changes my temp to a bearing. is there anyway to keep the temp instead of it switching to bearing? See pic below

I assume you asking about changing the readouts when you go screen to screen? If so, just go to the screen you are looking to use, then hit menu twice, go to Nav, then to select Nav readouts. It will then show you all of the readouts that are currently in use and will let you change them as you wish.
That is how it was on the 1199, and I am making the assumption it is the same, as my Helix 10s just came in friday and I have not had a chance to play with them.

Some readouts are hard coded in the Chart View. I think all the rectangular display models are that way. I know the 800 and 900 series are since they have the left side readouts. All the Helix models have the left side readouts too.
Since the Helix has the overlay features setting to turn off the left side readouts, those readouts are hard coded according to the view you select. Evidently Humminbird choose direction to be more important when using the Chart view than temp is.
The 1100 series has bottom readouts that are more customizable since there are two groups of settings. BUT the 1100 series does not have readout overlays like the Helix models.
Bottom line is if you want temp displayed in the Chart view, turn the left side readouts on and choose what box to display it.
