The old white 200e5 chronarch seems to hold up the best. Buy one used and have ceramic dry bearings installed.

I mostly use the old 200B5 (the old greenie Curado), but the Lew's BB1 in 5.1 is GREAT alternative. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

How do you adjust the breaking system on the bb1? I guess it will be in instructions?

I have an Abu Garcia Orra Winch 5.4:1 on my cranking rod and I have had great luck with it.

This one gets my vote also. I have several of the Shimano E5's and like the Lews BB1 better. I can make longer casts with it.

Rotate the side plate on the left side of the reel (assuming you are using a right hand reel).

Lew's BB1

I suggest you get the 5.1:1 gear ratio. I'm strictly a Shimano guy but I have to have this reel for deep cranking. It's a powerful, heavy duty, and light weight reel. It holds up well to rigorous abuse and they're easy on the wallet. Great reel for cranking!
