 Terrible Funk!

For reasons unbeknownst to me I am in a terrible funk. It has gotten so bad that my 4 year old told me yesterday "Daddy, we never catch any fish". I think I have caught 5 fish in the last 5 trips...with several skunks mixed in. I think the primary reason is my honey hole, Grapevine, has been flooded out. However, I have been fishing Lewisville some and it hasn't paid out much recently. I have caught a lot of fish at Lewisville in the past. The weather has been pretty bad recently and I am sure it has some impact...but I take responsibility for this one.
The bad luck isn't just limited to catching fish. I have had boat problems as well. I have blew out a trailer hub recently and yesterday my cranking battery was dead at the ramp.
The good news is I have seen a few good reports recently so hopefully my luck will change. I am just wondering if me (and my kids) are the only ones suffering through a run of bad luck?

I'll swap repair bills with you ! Got a new Mercruiser 350 mpi inboard going in this week ! So no your not the only 1 .

I think you're right about GV, just when I start to figure out something we get another flood.
With the water being +20' that has had the bait in water 25-30' with a lot of weeds and brush and the last couple times I was out there they were still pretty scattered making bait hard for me to catch.
GV is a mess right now.
 I've never been good, But I've been Lucky! I don't Lie or Exaggerate, but sometimes I remember BIG!

I have also had a dead cranking battery and blew a hub in the last month. I feel your pain. This has been a strange year with all of the weather and rain. I'm ready for the weather to stabilize and improve the fishing.

GV is a mess right now. I haven't been fishing Gvine since the last flood. During the 2 months it was somewhat close to normal I did pretty well. Since the flood I have fished Lewisville, Eagle Mountain, Worth, Benbrook.

My personal best is still swimming out there just getting bigger. One of these days I will quit feeding it.
