Thinking about running down to PK today. I just moved back to the area and I Have not been on the lake in years. I am looking for a little help on where to launch and where to start looking for some Striper and whites. I plan on dead sticking or slow rolling a swim bait. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Chase

I have not fished since November because I loathe the cold. However, Randy Wood the fishing guide has been posting some good results. From the photos he posted Looks like he is fishing uplake on the north peninsula or in Cedar creek. North D & D would be a good launch for that. There's always lots of fish around Costello Pass this time of year.

Good Luck.

Broadway, cedar creek, & Caddo have been good. Watch for the birds. Use the south or North Dd ramps. Public ramp is also good

Were you the guy in the light blue Flats Boat? If so I saw you in Caddo Creek and that's a bad azz rig.

I found some fish, actually two different large schools, but they would not bite, It appeared they were just sitting around and not feeding. I'm still tweaking this new graph some and have not built up much confidence on what I see trying to interpret the images. Its a lot different than my old one.

Nice graph picture. I saw a flats boat that had a lot of graphics on it. My boat is light blue, but it is a deeper V hull than a flats boat. I had my antenna up on the top of my T top. What were you fishing in?

We caught one nice Striper that was about 10 lbs and we caught 7or 8 whites. We caught them around the west point across from Fox Hollow marina. I was happy with how we did today being that it has been 5 years since I have been on PK. Sorry no pics today, but will load one tomorrow when I get on the computer. Thanks again for the help.

I didn't see you, I saw the graphic covered one, they look kinda out of place on a lake up here. Sounds like you had a fair day.

I saw that flats boat. It was cool looking. Didn't see many boats at all, fished a few spots around caddo, as stated above marked a couple good schools, just didn't cooperate much for us. My son ended up with a 10lber, had several come un-buttoned. Caught enough to make it a decent day though.

Kerry, I thought that fish might weigh more. My length versus weight chart that you gave me shows a 31" fish would weigh around 15#. Just wondering.

. On that chart, you use the "minimum" weight. Cody's fish was a tad over 30", my scale said 10.4 lbs. if you look at the chart on minimum for 30" its states 10.3lbs

You have to put them on the scale. Those charts don't cut it. Caught a 31 " 18 lb fish in 2014. She had a huge belly. Got two ten pounders this year that were 30". They need that big fat girl belly to tip those scales.

Here's the big one Chase's little brother caught. I was the only one in the boat to not get one in. It was a nice day though, and being the first time in a loooong time for us to go out there we learned quite a bit.
