thought i better pass this along before somebody else trashes any baits. i noticed some tiny gaps in my devcon coating on some baits (knew i should have been wearing my higher power glasses when i cleared them). i used superglue to fill the hollow spots. worked great! clear and smooth. however, you could still see indentations where the repairs had been made. oh well, a thin coat of devcon will smooth everything out.
brushed on the devcon, put the baits in the dehydrator to set up the devcon and after an hour at 110 degrees let them cool before i took them out. normally hard as a rock. that's when i knew i had a problem.
the first one i took out stuck to my fingers. wth!! everywhere i had put the super glue was tacky. apparently the glue reacted with the devcon preventing it from completely curing. it's been almost 36 hours now and the baits are still tacky where the glue is.
first...and last...time i get super glue anywhere near devcon.
i guess if i can't hook 'em on these baits i might be able to get them to stick to them. is that legal?
