I've got one on my current boat, first one I've had.
At times it's great (when fishing off the back of the boat) and at times it's in the way.
Mine is built by SeaArk for their boats. They fit into the slide track so they can slide forward and backwards and be easily removed. The rack also breaks down easily, the cross bar can be removed with two bolts. This leaves you the option to remove the cross bar or the entire rack in a couple of minutes.
There will be times of the year it will stay on the boat and times that it will have to be removed.
Personally I wouldn't consider anything that won't come off easily unless you're absolutely 100% certain you want a rod rack and you'll use it 100% of the time because even in a 24 foot boot it can get in the way and it does take up space also.
Not sure if G3 is building a slide track into their boats these days but if they are I'd look at that as an option.
You might look at Driftmaster also. They have a variety of racks and will custom build also. I believe they're all set up so they can be removed also.
Whatever you do make sure you plan it out well, leave room for compartments to open etc.
Here's some photos of mine to give you some ideas on making it modular and integrated into the slide track.
