Hello all,

Heading out to Tawakoni this evening to try and catch some cats from the bank. I prefer blue but will enjoy channels just as much. I will be taking fresh Shad and Perch I can catch from a community pond near my house. Any suggestions on where to go? I usually fish down by the holiday marina area but haven't been fishing since deer season started.... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and I'll post my final destination incase anyone want so join us. It will be cool out but the wind supposed to be light.

Ended up catching about 8 small blues from the bank near the public ramp by holiday from around 8pm to 11pm before the wind picked up. We would have had more but missed several fish. Most of them were between 15-18 inches nothing big, but they hit everything we threw out including pcs of slim jims, but the fresh cut shad worked the fastest. I ended up letting them all swim free by the end of the night maybe next time ill keep them for super but the freezers are full of hog and deer at the moment.
