I was looking at them yesterday at BPS and the new ones have the gimble butt on them, but they seem to hang up just a bit when trying to get them out of the Driftmaster Lil' Pro rod holders. The gimble feels like its rubber, has anyone tried trimming the rubber down a bit on the sides so they will come out of the rod holders better?

I'm not sure if it is solid rubber or if it is just a coating over something hard that can't be trimmed. Any info is appreciated before buying.

I had that problem with some of my Ugly Sticks. Mostly my 10'heavy rods. The handle is larger so it don't fit into the Lil Pro as easily as my Regular medium actions ugly stick. What I did was go to the Driftmaster Pro Series for these rods.
