 Tackle show in Mesquite?

Does anyone know if there is going to be a tackle/boat show in Mesquite this month or next? I haven't seen anything on this. Thanks.

not this year...and probably not again. At one time it was good times I hear the Fun N Sun is well worth the drive, never made it yet......

Doesn't help that several TFF members posted how the show was disappointing and not worth going to. I'm just like the next guy and like a good deal but you can't expect vendors to pay for space, people to set up etc. and then have 30% off everything at the show. So now there is no show. Dallas Boat show has gone by the wayside to if you're expecting a lot of fishing related products. Thinking some of this is because there is so much available on line. Hoping the show this weekend (Ft. Worth) is good if I'm able to get away to go.

I know that it's up to the show promoter to create a show that has value but I watched those guys try to get that show back off the ground for several years. The first few people to hit the show on Friday morning who decided they didn't like it or the price of a ticket was too much for their budget would come on here and complain and everyone would snap to judgement and not attend the event. Then later come on here and complain that no one hosts shows anymore. SMH... Very typical deal here in DFW.

I thought the Mesquite show was a good show. Now it's gone the Fun n Sun show should grow even larger. It is bass angler focused too. I went to the Mesquite show 2 years ago and had a blast and thought it was great. Not sure why it was getting bashed. Even the wife enjoyed it and she doesnt enjoy fishing related stuff much.

I miss the old Market Hall Boat and Tackle show. Those were some good times. Showing my age but this^^^^^^^. Used to be a great show and was so big that there was a lot for everybody regardless as to wether you were a hunter, fisherman, water skier.... Can't really bash people for using a forum for bashing(information sharing) about a show but you are right to a degree. It's a double edged sword. For someone who really only wants to concentrate on fishing(bass fishing) and not looking at hot tubs and wake boards Fun & Sun's show is really the only local show I care to go to anymore.

Mesquite show 2 years ago was pretty good. Last year it dropped off considerably. Looking forward to Fun-N-Sun tomorrow

Very typical deal here in DFW. If a few people posting on a forum killed the entire enterprise, it was never going to make it in the first place.
