I may not have known my dad but my grandpa picked up the slack. For those of you who know me I am about as much of an outdoor enthusiast as you can get. For those of you with young kids start them young LOL. the last one cracks me up and I wonder why I have so many head lamps. I don't think I have a hard hat with a flashlight duct tape to it though

Lol yea my grandma and my mom said he created a fishing monster at a very young age. I guess I owe it to him to keep ripping lips and passing on the passion of the outdoors.

10-4. The water in the Nolan is fishable way past the softball fields in town. Water is crystal through out.

Kids these days do you not realize how easy they have it I remember my grandma telling me about pulling a bag of cotton behind her that was bigger than she was on her finger bleeding from pullling bowls. I consider myself fortunate in the fact that I grew up at the start of this technology raising the kids but had someone that pulled me way away from even wanting any of that stuff. I think I got regular Nintendo when super Nintendo was already out and that was just to pass time when I could not get outside.

good stories. I had similar. btw ...."bowls" ....is really "bolls" when it's the cotton bloom. Those bags were usually 8-11 feet long. I remember seeing them a few times.

Yea bolls was phone thinking It knew better than I did lol. I really hate to tell my grandma I think I had it worse than she did. My best friend growing up their family ran angora goat and they would put us in those 11 foot long burlap bags in a hanger and as the mohair was shaved off the goats we would stomp it into the bag as it was poured over our heads to pack it in. I don't even want to describe what was on some ends of that mohair.
