Having trouble catching crappie, caught every other fish, but that one. Could someone help me out or give any reports on alton bridge or closer to 2499 rd. last time out I used 1/32 white jig. white/chartreuse 1.5" hollow body. and some other color combos, and 1.5" peg float.

The lake being flooded has the crappie not in their usual places. The lake needs to come down and then it will position the fish in their normal places. I have also noticed that for the most part (except for spring) a peg float doesn't allow you to fish deep enough to get to the fish on this creek. They are usually deeper 8-15 ft.

The lake is still 7 feet high. I would guess it is still quite muddy. Lots of the banks were still mudded outlast time I was there.

although I have not caught any there yet, I have continued to use a Slip Bobber, so I could get it deeper. the only way I know how.. it will take a bit for Hickory to be back in shape..
