Last year there were bedding fish caught December through May. The way the water temperature varies from the discharge end to the shallow part of the creeks really spreads it out. There biggest problem I have had is the tilapia can spawn every 28 days and there are large areas of tilipia nest that make it harder to find the bass.

I'm curious to know how often people actually sightfish for them. I've never caught a sightfish out there, seen very few and they were quite the "skiddish".

I have only seen a handful and since the spawn is so scattered I quit looking for them. Lots of fry north end in timber yesterday. found a large flat with bedding bass last year with side image(could actually see some beds with paired bass) Most beds were in 6 fow or more.

I'm sure someone does it. I wouldn't
waste my time. Last week was the first
I heard someone catching one sight fishing. My buddy sat on a 3 lber last week before the park
Closed with no luck.

I've had better success fan casting spawning areas
as they spawn deeper.

I've come across a few spawners, but mostly all males last year. They would just sit and circle there nests right before the females move up. I've seen couple of cruisers lately, but this year none at all spawning.
