Anybody used the Gliss Supersmooth Monotex line yet. Can't find many reviews but really thin diameter, 40# the same diameter as 15# InvizX. Zero stretch and it floats. Thanks

I really like it I do think there may be a problem with 24# white though that being said there are no problems with the green or red. A fellow caught a 21.4# carp on 18# day before yesterday should say a little about it.

Lots of reviews, try google. Most consistent negative is poor abrasion resistance and knot slipping/breaking.

I have this and after it breaking 7 or 8 times on hook sets I unspooled it. I was using the knot they showed to use on the package. JUNK!!! But... I have not tried the 40#....I'm afraid to waste more $$ on this product

I could never get the knot to hold. Waste of money for me.

TackleTour's forum had good coverage of it. They finally found a knot that worked well with it. Still, breaking strengths at some test sizes were way off, others better. And, the issue of abrasion resistance was ever present in discussions, so it'd have to be very certain circumstances, never anytime the line makes contact with structures, rocks. But, about the knot that they found that worked, the Power Knot, I was sort of intrigued by it since it has a loop around the hook sort of like a Palomar . . . making it a true knot. It ties like a doubled cinch knot but the doubling of the line creates a loop or bight, like a Palomar, so it can then be pulled over and around the terminal tackle. It tested very strong. Take a look. Brad
