I know a lot of you have been waiting on us to release this mount. Thanks to everyone who provided feedback and advice on what you wanted to see in a new product. We finally have production tested parts and inventory on these! Our design features a mounting foot on either side of the socket. So, it never accidentally loosens on a strike. Once its in place, it locks down until you want to move it. The feet are stainless steel and designed to fit in the most popular rail systems. We tested it on Hobie, Native, Jackson, YakAttack, Harmony, Wilderness Systems, and Scotty and its easy to install and very sturdy. It's constructed of reinforced nylon composite with all stainless hardware. Its definitely very durable and built to last. I definitely like the fact the nuts for the t-bolts are far enough away from the base to turn easily. How are the rod holders after they get dirty. Is it tough to remove the rod holder from the base? These have me very curious. Looks great! Any idea on when you will come out with a rod holder for the larger rod handles

Can you also make a paddle holder with the same cam lock theory? I know there is one specifically for Native but haven't seen one similar for others. Native Cam-Lock Paddle Holder

No issues with Dirt. A lot of guys think that the elastomer will get sticky, break easily, or not work when dirty. Our testing and feedback hasn't seen any of these issues.
The arms of the cam flex as you push the rod in, so once it goes past the center point, the cams are actually gripping the rod handle. Dirt isn't a factor and the pivots are pretty unaffected. In terms of removal, the base of slotted to the rod holder, so it only goes in an out in one specific orientation. Thats to prevent it from accidentally coming out. Otherwise, the fit is snug. Very similar to what you would expect from a Scotty.
The material is the same material that is used is engine gaskets. It's UV, gas, solvent, oil resistant by nature. Plus, it has a huge operating temperature range. so, we've seen some guys using these in very cold conditions up north this winter and they are fine. I haven't replaced a single cam for a customer yet. For any reason. Summer is no worry either since this material is formulated for engines.
Lastly, I am working on the larger design now. Once it's vetted, tooled and shipped were probably looking at early summer. I wish I could make it go faster. It always takes longer than I'd hope.
In the meantime, thanks for the consistent support and feedback here! I love this forum because you guys are extremely engaged and willing to give us feedback, which we always need.

Thanks! My goal in this was so that you could adjust it with gloves on.
