I have one of those stowed in rear compartment where I can reach it from in the water, of course my boat is a little alum boat, there are better ones for fiberglass boats that can be permanently mounted

Nutman, I have one of the aluminum type with "U" shaped top that hangs on edge of boat.. I used it in one of my other bass boats that didn't have a ladder, I have a jack plate mounted one now. I am at Lake Athens usually every month sometimes more often. If you want it I will bring it to you. It does fit in the rod box, I used to keep it in the front right rod box with my life jackets, and stuff. Let me know. We are moving soon and I am already trying to reduce the clutter I have around here.

I appreciate the offer ...... but;
How do you get it out of the rod box if you fall in the water ?
My arms are not that long.

A buddy of mine fell in the water the other day and had to hang on to the boat while his cousin trolled to shallow water. He's a big ol'boy and couldn't get back in the boat.
He ended up getting a ladder from Boris Marine Electronics in Ft. Worth. Not sure what he paid but give them a holler at 817-624-3932.

I keep a rope tied to one of my cleats with several loops tied in it so I can use them as foot holds if I fall out. I am looking, but haven't found a ladder that fits my boat the way that I want yet.
