Kids are back in school and deer season is all but over. I hunt a few ducks with the kids but it's not my thing. Fishing is great at Pk and I am not booked this weekend. This is a great opertunity for some folks to learn somthing about PK fishing.
The lake is full but clearing.
I won't just take you fishing. I'll answer your questions about the the best ways to catch Stripers and Sand Bass year round on PK.
Anyone need a fishing guide this weekend?

I certainly did not mean to be misleading .....the fishing is great and the weather looks pretty good. I am a for hire fishing guide who can't stand to stay at home when the fishing is the good.

Cost? And will it be cheaper since you are not booked?

Rates are $325.00 for the first three. $75.00 per person after that. All tackle and bait provided. Fish cleaned and bagged for you. Half day mornings.

I've fished with Randy, he's worth it. He was like a one armed paper hanger baiting hooks, keeping the boat straight ( neat trick in PK wind) and consistently putting you on fish. I'm gonna fish with him again this spring after all the cedar pollen blows off.

Looking forward to you coming back PK. My day job may have me working at the Cliffs in the near future.

That's great. You should give some of your Business Cards to Juan at the marina. There's always people in prime season looking to go fishing. I see them renting those $500 pontoon boats and coming back skunked.

I usually set my green light out at the gas dock and have let some of them fish it after they told me there were no fish in the lake. Once it gets dark and the action starts it's one sandy after another as fast as you can pull them up. Nigh on impossible to catch fish on a rented pontoon boat with no fish finder. They spend more on that pontoon than they would contracting with you. We caught one striper after another that day at North D & D.

If it is ok I will put in my 2 cents. Randy is not only a great guide, he is good people. If you have a boat and depth finder and want to learn how to catch stripers and sand bass he is the man for the job.
We are supposed to be up there tomorrow. Maybe we will see you on the water.

Thanks for the kind words thumb
The wife and I went out dancing last night and with some care I am recovering nicely! I am thinking I'll get up in the morning and give them a try!

Wish I had went dancing. Not really. Kerry and Cody caught all the fish. Had a great day watching them. Maybe we will see you out there in the future. One of those days when counting down, same lure, flouro leader same and they caught the fish. Just happens that way sometimes.

I stayed home and never went to the lake at all. Had some fun with the wife and did a lot around my little shop. It was a good weekend. I'll be fishing some this week and next weekend. I'll report back what I find.

Fish on Texoma usually move toward the creeks and up the rivers this time of year. Or they used to. I am sure there is still enough to keep everyone fishing. I would like to learn PK a little better. It is closer to the house. My problem is I have fished Texoma since 1981 and have several good spots. Just like anywhere you still have to find them and see what they want to bite. Hope my boat gets out ot the shop by Spring.
Thanks for the help.
