or they won't bite it. Very hard to put a pattern together today. Finally tried dead sticking and that's when they would thump it (barely). They were sitting on bottom in 17 foot of water and a black/chartreuse jig was the only thing I could get a bite on. It was kind of a weird bite today and very diverse. I caught blacks, whites, mohawks, tilapia, big ol bass and something that I never even turned....it just ran with my line till it broke. Crappie cakes for dinner tonight!

Good job!! I need to get over to ole lake X, never crappie fished there.
The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?
