Will normal winter time technique ie, jerk bait, jig creek bends, etc work on Squaw in winter time?

You can catch them anyway you want when they are eating. I think you may be forgeting the water temp deal but if it makes you happy do it.

No not normally, most of my fish have been deep if you can get a jerkbait 20+ go for it. I never have been able to get on a real good jig bite on that lake but have caught them on it. It doesnt fish like your normal winter lakes.

I catch them on all kinds of finesse rigs, and my partner KILLS them on jerkbaits on that lake. I agree that you can fish whatever style fits you and catch fish. You may not win, because most of the winning sacks come from deep, but I've caught 7+ lb fish off of 4 foot flats out there. It's all about timing.
