I use my Mojo swimbait also. I don't really throw one enough to dedicate a rod for the technique. I also have a crankin rod that I use for 10XD's that will work pretty well for A-Rigs so long as you don't get to crazy with the weights.

I have several Dobyns Champion rods and love them. Been playing with medium/large swimbaits and needed a capable rod but didn't want to invest a lot. Ordered a Dobyns Fury 795 SB and didn't know what to expect. Lots of manufacturers have quality rods at or under this price range but I was scepticel of a $120 swimbait rod from Dobyns. Actually a quality rod. "Feels" good and makes a great A-rig rod.

I have used cheaper rods for A-Rigs but I decided to take a risk on an old name for my latest rod.
Go to Tackle Warehouse and look at the 7'9" Fenwick Aetos Extra Fast HD rods. These are basically "Muskie" rods, but are perfect for A-Rigs. I put a Revo Winch on mine and 65-80# Braid.
They are rated 17# to 30# and just feel right.
They will run you around $179.00 but worth the money. A Revo Wench is around $200. That's not a bad price range and you will love this combo for A-Rigs.

I personally love a round reel for a rigs . . .the Shimano Cardiff 200/300 are beasts for 100$, as well as a Swedish made c3 4600/5500 . . My current setup is a Calcutta 300d on a st croix legend tournament 79 heavy mod fast "punchin" rod . . The actual swim bait st croixs are good if your throwing full size ones, but I usually throw flash mob jrs with fairly light weighted jig heads . . The new st croix mojo swim bait/ a rig rod plus a Shimano Cardiff would be less than 300$ and could double as a grass mat punching setup on shallow lakes.
