I'm looking into to buy one of these units but can't find anything in what si transducer to buy? Does it come with it build into the normal transducer or am I missing something?

Finesse
It comes with a "compact" si ducer. Works great out of the box. You can exchange for a HD si ducer with HB. Cost an extra 80 I think. I use the one out of the box and am very happy with it. It is on a yak. The biggest thing is to set the unit to match your boat speed.

Yes, humminbird only needs the one transducer. It is the compact transducer and if you want to upgrade, you'll have to send it in unused and still in its package for a better one. It works fine though.
Everything that you need to run the ff will be in the box. You will need to purchase a map card for the gps

I bought a Helix 5 SI GPS for the Skeeter right before I sold it...so I bought a 7 on the Kenner. Would have bought a 9, but I needed the space on my center console. Very happy with it thus far. I love the brightness of the screen. Using the transducer it came with. You can change the freq via the menu if you want.
Now, Donald...please pick John Bolton for your running mate.

Yes for best si and di returns. 3 mph is usually best but you can experiment to see what's best for you The best mph is whatever the Chart Speed you select. That can be zero to about 12 mph. You set the Chart Speed to closely match the GPS speed. That is why Humminbird Side Imaging is a search tool AND a fishing tool.
