First time getting back on Whitney since the flooding. Found some fish on the Northeast side of the island in 30 fow. Swimbaits were the ticket. The fish were agressive and pounding it hard in 50 degree water. Caught 15 stripers to 26 inches with a 4 lb largemouth thrown in. Tawakoni has been great but nice to get back on Whitney also. Sorry no pics fishin solo.

I was there three weeks ago and caught them in the back of Whitney creek. It's great to see it back. Great job sticking out the cold today!

I agree glad its back. Amazed at the amount of 15-18 inch fish. Going to be alot of really good fish in the years to come. Those stockings after the algee bloom have really taken hold

I had a great day out there today also. I caught 40+ fish in a few hours. 20 to 35 fow. Chartreuse swimbaits.

I wacked them there two weeks ago as well! Same depths on slabs and swim baits! Even got a 14lber! What a beautiful lake! The abundance of little fish hitting big lures also surprised me. I caught several 6" whites on a 5" slab!

Is the island you are referring to on the south end across the lake from the state park? I'm thinking about going this Friday to try out my new side imaging hummingbird unit. I'm just wondering if they are on the north end/river area or south end of the lake?

Yeah. The island everyone talks about is the one across from the state park. Don't overlook the ledges and humps by the state park too. Hope you get into them. Let us know
