The Ray Hubbard Bass Club will be holding our first meeting of 2016 on Thursday January 14th. The meeting will be held at Bass Pro Garland downstairs in the restaurant. We are working on having them put us in the inside room since it's winter time and all. The meeting will start at 7:00PM.

We will be taking memberships for 2016! Membership costs $30.00 per year and that includes your entire immediate family. Secretary Russell Olds will be taking your information down and Treasurer David Simmons will be taking your money. If you are new to the Club, look for the guys with a line of people in front of them all trying to be first. They should be easy to spot. No need to rush up guys. They will be working on memberships throughout the meeting and we will get to everyone. If you are a returning member, please fill out the member sheets again and update your contact info for us.

Other topics to cover will be the updated rules from last year. The lakes we will fish this year. We have a great schedule and if Mother Nature calms down a little, we should have a great year of fishing. We will introduce the 2016 Club officers. We have a few returning people like myself, and some new faces as well. Thank you to our new officers for volunteering! We will set the hours and ramp for our first tournament of the year on Lake Palestine coming up on February 13th.

We will go over the qualifications for being Angler of the Year, and fishing in the Club Championship tournament, which this year will be on Cedar Creek in November. We will be renewing old friendships and making new ones! If you are new to the Club this year, please introduce yourself and ask questions! We want to get to know you! If you are an incoming boater that does not have a regular partner, we have several people looking for boaters for the year. Let's see if we can get some people paired up right away! You may start a life time friendship. If you are a non boater and need a partner, we will work to get you in touch with someone to fish with, at least temporarily, if not a year long partnership.

The room we will be in is not huge so crowd together and be patient. We should have the PA so everyone can at least hear what is going on. Bring your appetite as wait staff will be there for your food and drink orders. Hope to see you there on the 14th

Awesome meeting last night! We had a huge turnout and a large group of new members. Thanks to everyone that came out. We decided that our hours for Palestine in February will be 8-4 going out of Palestine Resort Marina. If you want to fish that one with us and weren't there last night, you'll need to be at the meeting on February 11th and join up! Hope to see you there!
