Around 5am this morning at his sons home he suffered apparent heart attack. He was dropping off his dogs as he was headed to Dallas for the Safari Club Show.

It was an honor to know BASS Legend Ken Cook having spoken with him on several occasions throughout the years. My sincere condolences to his wife Tammy and family frown

Wow, one of the guy's I really respected while growing up and taking up the chasing of these basses.

Prayers of comfort for the family and close friends.

Very sad news for sure. Keeping up with him on FB, he was very active still hunting and fishing on his ranch almost daily. Heck he was splitting logs for firewood on Monday afternoon.

Prays and condolences for all the Cook family.

He was one of the first to really break the mold of just being a good old country boy fisherman. I believe he was a Marine Biologist or something. He definitely was an intelligent man and great angler with a really nice personality for the times I was lucky enough to speak with him.

Ken was a good friend of mine - we fished together many times at Toledo, Rayburn, and Fork. He was a fine fisherman, a great friend, and an even better human being.

Fished tournaments on Texoma against Ken in 70s. Always in the money but more important, always polite and a really good guy to be around and visit with. RIP Ken!
