Started out with light overcast, burning off to blue bird skies.

7 fish ranging from dinks to three and a half pounds.

The weather was beautiful, good day to be on a lake. How ever, it just was not my day. Maybe some of this was my fault, I didn�t stick to my guns on how I would normally fish this lake and I went searching for bigger fish. Either way, I still had a good time just being on the lake. There were bait balls all over the place in the coves, but no fish on them. I did get several on a top water bait, one on a crank and the rest on plastic. You might say I got my butt handed to me today, or that�s how I felt at the end of today any way. I know I was expecting a much better day, but it wasn�t there for me.

Thanks for the report. We all have those days, whether they get reported or not. They allow you to tell the difference when you're having a really good day!

I take full responsibility for the outcome of yesterdays fishing trip. It wasn�t a fish issue, it was me. I changed up my poles to the point where I was totally out of my comfort zone. Even if I had a feeding frenzy of fish around me I couldn�t have gotten bit. I had stepped that far out of my comfort zone. A lot of you understand what I�m talking about. And there�s more, I didn�t position the boat for the best bite in most areas I fished either.
