What size jackplate do you have on your champs? I've got a 202 ..Mines had a 6inch for ever top end at 65. Should I have a bigger plate?

Got a 8 on my 202. Runs in the mid 60 without bumping the tack. Fixing to hang a 250 Pro xs on it and drop to a 6 inch.

Bruce, I've got a 200, should I get a 6 or 8 inch. why drop the size of the plate when you go up in HP? Just curious to how it this works. Never really messed with any jackplates or moving mine much.

I just put the eight on last year. And get to much backwash with it as it makes the boat sit to low in the water. Made the boat run better, But the back wash was terrible. You had to slow down slowly or you would be wearing the lake .

I would stick to the six. I believe it was Pat Golf that told me that the eight was to big. But i could have forgotten who it was.
