Results from January 7th:
The weather had a lot to do with the fact that 16 of the 26 anglers fishing got skunked. Water going out the front, unseasonable temps and rain all night. Those fish just were not in the "eating" mood. Jigs, C-rigs and drop shots accounted for the winners' fish.
1st place went to Stan Norton with 1 fish for 4.64 which was also the lunker of the day. .
2nd place went to Jeff Wilkerson with 2 fish for 3.23 with a 1.96 lunker.
3rd place went to Bill Ailes with 4 fish for 3.21 with a 1.19 lunker.
Boat seat drawings are held after the 2nd tournament each month for the following month. We changed the guidelines somewhat at the last meeting to cap the club at 40 members with a waiting list and to start a women's division. We also created separate categories for Boaters and co-anglers starting in 2016 each fishing for separate Angler of the year Awards. The top three in each will earn those awards.
And as we are now approaching our goal of 40 anglers we are really only looking for boaters right now. Members must fish with us at least 8 times in a given year to be able to renew to the next year. But if they really expect to fish for angler of the year they will have to do more like 18.
The LFA fishes every other Thursday daytime at Lake Fork only. Persons interested in joining or fishing as a guest should e-mail me at email@example.com.
Here is your opportunity to fish with friendly knowledgeable Lake Fork anglers for the cost of a $5 annual dues and a $12 entry fee. Slot fish count. No teams.
Sometimes Fork is a big question mark. But even though we don't always slay them a few will figure it out and win the money. And then tell everyone attending the "weighin" how, what, and where. What you need to know to duplicate that feat.
