I have an upcoming tourney on Bridgeport this month. Haven't been in 30 years. Any ideas on what to throw?

Lakes not fishing good. Muddy and water keeps going up and down. Last Sunday could only see down about 6".

I would focus on the steeper bluff type walls in the river area. They will be in deep water and those fish will suspend up and down them throughout the day. Also the deeper docks on the mainlake can be good. The x factor will be the spotted bass as they tend to bite when the largemouth and smallmouth are shut down. Crankbait wise I would throw a medium diver in chart. with a brown back, suspending jerkbaits in shad patterns and smaller soft plastics on Texas rigs or shakyheads. On the mainlake 5-15' of water around larger boulders etc on the main lake points have historically been good in colder water out there.
Also if it were me I would have a bladed jig tied on around some of the dirtier water that has shallow coveror noticeable transitions of rock size nearby. Seems the smallmouth will bite better during the full moon cycle as well out there.

The lake is fishing pretty tough and has sense it came up 25 feet. Before that it was fishing pretty good. The only cover is docks. Last time I fished it was a week ago and only had one bite in 15 to 20 foot of water on a rocky bottom with a C-rig.

Thank you for the help. I'm putting in at wise county park and see that there are some main lake docks close.

The ones in the cove at the dam will be the most stable and consistent probably. Most are deep and loaded with brush of some type.
