Does anybody have this problem? I am on my 2nd unit with this problem and now that they have been sold out it is hard to get the parts for the older models for repair. What do you guys do? Cover it with a ZipLoc Bag?

I hide mine under the console. Nice and dry. And I don't have to answer questions all the time.

First off let me say sorry for you unit fogging up like this. Second I will personally do my best to take care of anyone on here that has a issue with their unit. Right now things are a little crazy with the move to Alabama but we still want to take care of everyone. I have my cell number is 972-955-7841 and you can always reach me on it, doesn't matter if it is at night or on the weekend please don't hesitate to give me a call. HydroWave customer service really has made a change over the past year, and I have been doing my best to fix what many customers said was a sub par customer service. I have stayed on with HydroWave and still will be able to help anyone that has an issue. I will reach out to the guys on here that have posted so far and for anyone else that has an issue with their HydroWave please get in touch with me. All of my contact information is in my signature, feel free to email, call, text or PM me and I will do my best to fix any issue.

It sounds like you guys may need to store these things indoors when not in use.....I used to do this with all my fish finders. I hauled my rig to and from the water without them and installed or removed them as I was prepping the rig to hit the water or go home @ the ramp parking lot. I didn't keep them in the boat either but rather in the cab of the truck when traveling and in the top of my clothes closet when I got home so they were always in a moisture controlled environment. If I cleaned them I'd spray some Windex on a paper towel and wipe them down. On these Hydrowaves it would probably be a good idea to take them off and put them below deck if it is raining....and last but not least NEVER high pressure wash any of your electronics or anything on or about your rig, you will regret it.....my two cents

Plastic bag increases life expectancy of said unit by 3 times. Gotta be careful with temp diffs, like moving it from your car to 32 degrees outside. I learned to store it in my boat.

I think the next time I buy one it will be from Bass Pro and I will buy the gear guard BPS offers. Cost more but can replace many times.

We have really work hard to make sure that the H2 is 100% percent water proof. I have had one in a fish tank for 9 months now completely submerged and it is still running every day. I have returned the emails and PM's i have got so far and will continue to do that to get each and everyone of you taken care of.

John, thanks for messaging me! When I got my new Phoenix last year I purposefully did not put the HydroWave unit on due to past experiences. However I am taking my boat back to Shawnee on Saturday at S@D Boats for some warranty work and am going to give the HydroWave another go.

Part of my reasoning is the quick response you gave me.

It's the little things man.

Thanks

Mike

Temp differential can be an issue too........so storing it in the boat might not be a bad idea or at least until the temp of the unit equalizes to the storage area.........

Thanks BigJohn for the contact. Email Sent.

For the other comments: It is hard to keep the unit in your truck when you need it in a tournament and it is RAINING!!! That's what happened last fall with all the rains when I was fishing the end of the year Championships. I like the unit and have seen that it works.
