Just saw that on FB. Not cool.

Shows are about the characters and the stories. They were mostly weak. The guys who were fishing to make a living were interesting. They had something on the line. The spearfishing chick just wanted to catch dinner. Not interesting. Boogie was looking for a reliable fishing partner. Why? Were they trying to catch fish for a living? Just for fun? Then there was the obviously manufactured drama. 5 essential elements to a good story are: an appealing character, an interesting setting, an intriguing problem, an exciting plot, and a satisfying solution. Sadly, for most of the story lines in the show, lots of these were missing. It has to hit on all cylinders, or it just doesn't work. They could have cut half the story lines out completely, and it would have been a better show.

Your write up is right in point. And continuous to prove your point in some comments I have read. I enjoyed the show if for nothing else but to see kayak fishing on TV, that in itself made the show better than most of the [censored] on TV these days. Only other shows about kayak fishing I have seen on TV were Chad Hoover's show and Hobie Outdoor Adventures.

I dont watch tv, so I didnt even see one show. Sucks it didnt work out. The idea was great. Kayak fishing on tv sure is better than all the rest of the [censored] they make shows about.

I wasn't a huge fan of the show but like others have stated it was better than the rest of the junk on tv

i did enjoy watching it, for sure better than all other stuff like "Below deck", "Dance moms", "hoarders" etc...

They should have just made it more of a fishing show kind of educational and not all that false drama.

The free diving girl was fine i did enjoy seeing her free diving, it takes a lot of training and preparation to do what she does. she was also using the correct equipment to do it such as the fins, the wet suit and the mask.

I had high hopes for it, but eventually I watched a few minutes of one episode.
Not surprised it is gone. the cheap manufactured drama I saw on first exposure to it ensured I would not waste my time on any more of it.

If I have time to watch someone else have fun, I have time to go myself.

I would just prefer to see a crew follow kayakers all over the US fishing the lakes and rivers in our backyards. No drama, acting, etc. Just tell me what you are paddling, what it is outfitted with, what your fishing with and the techniques of fishing the lake you are on. Like a honey hole outdoors kayak show.

There are actually already options for good kayak fishing shows you're describing. In order of my preference ...
1a) Hooked on Wild Waters - Drew Gregory
1b) Kayak Bassin - Chad Hoover
3) The Kayak Fishing Show - Jim Sammons

I will agree with you 1a & 1b. Jim Sammons is a walking advertisement. 25% fishing & 75% advertising. His yaks start to look like Nascar.
