This reel is on sale for $60, I just ordered one from Tackle Direct
Daiwa Opus Plus Bite and Run

More detail link opp5000

Thinking about using it for free lining for blues and trying my lucks on flathead with this reel. Anyone had used the Daiwa Opus Plus Bite and Run reels? What's your opinion on this reel? Thanks

Why do I go fishing? To catch a box of fish and/or some quality time under the sun. Thank Heaven I never fail fishing in Texas, catching box fish or plenty of sunburn.

I don't have any experience with it, but it looks like a great reel for the money.

Thanks,
Olen

Just got an email from tackledirect.com that this reel is in back order... but it sounds like a good alternative to baitcast reels open spool feature... sure is a pretty reel and a 40% marked down is very hard to pass.

At this price I might upgrade all my old spinning reels which are 6-8 years old.
