Bill and his wife Wanda operated a print shop for many years, and took care of all the printing for Fun-n-Sun's tournament fliers and boat show ads. They were two of the greatest people I know and our prayers are with Wanda as she goes forward without her beloved Bill. They were both very active in the historic Burleson Bass club, and also were instrumental in helping Floyd Yarbrough, Jack Tucker, Bill Dunaway, Bruce Rasco, the late Bill Dunaway, myself and a few others start up the United Bass Club in Burleson. At one time both Burleson Clubs had about 100 active members and Bill and Wanda was a huge part of both.
In addition to fishing, Bill was the face of "his kids" youth football program. He was so proud to be with them on Saturdays or whenever they had something going on, and even mowed and maintained the fields or concessions or whatever they needed. Bill was the true definition of a grandpa and a friend. He will be missed!

Here's to ruttin' bucks, cuppin' ducks, & kicker fish luck!

Such sad news on the passing of Bill Hodges. He was a very sweet and humble man who would go out of his way to help ANYONE who needed it. He supported so many benefit tournaments throughout the years and as Jeff Gilbert mentioned above, Bill and Wanda were two of the best members any bass club could be blessed enough to have. He donated a lot of free printing to help out people/benefit events and would not take payment for the work. Bill could also catch 'em and he took great joy in spending time in GOD's great outdoors with friends and his wife and kids and grandkids. The world would be a much better place if more people were like Bill Hodges was. God Bless You Bill! RIP and prayers go out to Wanda and your loved ones.

I will always remember Bill when I fish Steiner valley on Whitney. Every time I would go check the long row of bodark trees Bill would be there chunking a worm in the middle of all that brush. That is how I knew there were fish there! Bill was a great angler but even a better person. We lost a good one for sure. RIP Bill***God bless you Wanda
