Looking for some real world reviews on this device. From all accounts online it is all that and a bag of chips. I know a lot of you smoke meats and really get into tending to the traditional process of waiting hours for your meat and drinking beer while doing so. I'm good for all of that, except the waiting. Love smoked meats, waiting hours, not so much.

So if any of you have one of these, speak up and tell us about it. I skipped it as a Christmas present this year, but I'm thinking hard about it for a birthday one.

What if we each send you a dollar to be the guinea pig. If it works great, you can loan it out to us for a weekend each for Quality Control. Sounds Good? I just mailed you my check. JP

I was looking at one of those. Don't know anyone who has one yet. Let us know if you get one.

I think I'll keep my Brinkman charcoal smoker, it costs less than $100 and does a great job of smoking all kinds of things.

Y'all can stop trying to sell me anything that's gonna take the traditional "Long A$$ Time" to cook a brisket, turkey, chicken, and pork.

I ain't gopnna lie, I'm looking for the short cut! I get that some of you fellers like to sit around and tend a fire box a drink beer for 6~12 hours. Not me. I want to put a couple racks of ribs in and pull 'em out in 30~45 minutes and eat.

I'd eat a lot more Q if I didn't have to go out and buy it, or wait so long to cook it. That might be worth a grand to me if it actually works.

My cousin has one and it works as advertised. It is well built, and will last. I have had ribs and chicken cooked on it and it was mediocre. They were cooked the right amount and tender, but lacked the real smoked flavor you get from a stick burner regardless of how many wood chips you use. That may satisfy some folks, but I will stick with my stick burner.
