I will say that the newer Larry Chairs are nicer then the original with more support in the back. I do not have a Diablo though. Maybe Guillermo will chime in....

I found one of those fold-up lawn chairs at Academy last year and I use it in my big wide Meyers Sportspal canoe. It is one of those chairs made of the webbing construction (see photo). My guess is with very little adjustments or alterations, you could just sit in a chair like that. They are super light, inexpensive and it'd get you up a bit higher with a solid back to lean back into. Brad

You can put any kind of chair you want on it with the right mods. They make a cooler deck for it or I have also seen a false deck put in with a bass boat seat. With a weight cap of over 400 pounds you'll have some room to play with gear and seats but that all depends on your weight. I have an Adios with the new chair if you'd like to check it out. I'm in Temple as well.

The Larry Chair is comfortable and holds up. It doubles as a great camp chair and folds up pretty dang small. This is a great flyfishing kayak if you need a flat deck and a little elevation above water level.

I love my Diablo Adios! The new Larry Chairs are really comfortable and the stability of the Diablos are unmatched. I fish with some guys that are well over 250lbs and have no stability issues with their Diablos! As previously mentioned you can add a cooler mount made by Diablo and sit on your cooler. As far as fitting an aftermarket chair where there is a will there's a way. Good luck! Let me know if you have any questions!

I am really impressed by the Diablos as they are so easy to set up for fishing and recreation. Wide open, too, for all sorts of customizations on seating, coolers, etc.
I actually like the fact that "kayaks" have pushed into several hybrid areas. We have:
1) the traditional kayaks; 2) the sit-on-tops with or without pedal drives; 3) some that are about half kayak/half canoe (NuCanoe comes to mind here); 4) and, the Diablo is a truly great example of blending a kayak with a SUP (stand up paddle) board.
I suppose there are even more types but this allows everyone to really find something they are attracted to. Personally, I'd rather have a Diablo than a SUP as it would be a super neat rig to push around with a pole back in shallow spots.
