Hit up the creek today. Entered from the nature preserve. Did not get a bite. Moved north and south, tried minnows, jigs, etc not a thing. Did have some ducks come land near me, but that was about as exciting as it got. Was there from 3- sunset.

It's a little early yet. Give it 2-3 weeks if some warmer weather rolls in.

Crappie come in when it's colder. They'll be there now if they are going to be there. I haven't hit the creek since sometime last year. I caught a mixture of crappie and sandies last March before it switched to all sandies.

If you are waiting for the inlines to go on sale at BPS, you might go for the Blue Fox knockoffs. They are available at WalMart, 5 for 6 bucks. They come in 1/4 and 18th oz. sizes. I have virtually converted to them from rooster tails. They work well and catch the [censored] outta sandies, black bass, even crappie and bluegills.
Just sayin'.

I really hate those, lol. The wire is so thin it gets easily bent, and the hooks are too small IMO. The Blue Fox flashers at Walmart are decent though. I really like the BPS micro spins.

Who knows, but I bet there's some fish in there right now. Crappie for sure. I think I'm going to put on my waders and check it out on Saturday. One interesting factor this year is the constant flow out of Lavon. If that keeps up, the East Fork might be the hot spot this year.

How far south did you go? Nature preserve at Miller or up near the bike trails?
I plan to head over there Friday night or Saturday am.

Yeah, I know there are some in there from trusted reports. How many, I don't know. East Fork at Lavon Dam has been really good, so I haven't paid much attention to RC. Hoping to hit the x this spring if the weather cooperates. I'll probably be all over this year. All this water sure has changed the landscape.
