Has anyone been to Monti in the last few days? TWPD says it's only .3 feet high, so I figure they're pulling water. I'm trying to make potential plans for the weekend and I'm trying to decide whether or not to make the trek all the way out there.
I hear you can only catch em right now if you're ok with breaking the law haha

Haha water clarity is really bad. Some of the worst ive seen. Was throwing a blue fleck power worm and could only see it down about a foot at most... Fish are still there, only caught 5 yesterday but all were 3-6 pounds. All were caught on traps, cranks and dropshots around both highway and railroad bridge.
As far as the discharge we went up to the buoys and no further. Didnt catch any or get any bites either. There were 4 other boats around it at the same time but no one went past the buoys. Oe tied up that was in a flat bottom boat and catfishing.
Water is back to around normal or few inches higher. The dock pier is in the middle of the parking lot so be careful if you get there before daylight. Other than that goodluck and go get em! Water was 57-59 mainlake and 60-66 under highway bridge depending on how close to the discharge you are

Nice! Very helpful! Do you have any idea how long it'll take to clear up? I'm from West Texas and don't get out there much.

Well the mainlake usually clears up pretty quick. Lots and lots of grass floating this year so far. North of the highway bridge may take a while, just depends on rain amounts, wind, etc. I go to college in Abilene but am from Mesquite, and yes lakes are way different just 3 hours away... They usually clear up quicker here because of the grass. If I were you I would give it another week or two to clear up and hope it dont pour down there again!
