Looking to purchase a vented cover for my vmax. What do you guys use? Wanted to go with Tuffskinz but they don't have the logo on it anymore so it looks weird all black to me. Any others out there?

They put my logos on right there in store. They even gave me a free design that was done right away.

Yamaha will not let them put logos on them anymore. They can, but then they have Yamaha attorneys call them. They can still do Merc under their license, but not currently Yamaha.

Everyone is correct, we can no longer put Yamaha logo's on our covers. We can however design a custom logo for you, use your own design or business logo on the cover. don't let the fact that Yamaha is doin this, get a runnable cover for your motor and protect your investment.

If you are running the old 2 stroke I would recommend not using a cover because of the heat generated by that motor.

Why would you want a cover on the motor? In the Texas summer heat wouldn't that be detrimental to the motor to put something on it that could trap the heat?

If you are running the old 2 stroke I would recommend not using a cover because of the heat generated by that motor. Why? The block is cooled by water from the lake. The 1mm thick cover does not change the temperature no worst than having a 6mm thick cowling on the motor. Some are even Insulated with foam. To help deaden the sound. If anything, think of the equally warmed block having cleaner detonation.

OCA covers are another option. The make a really nice cover with no straps/buckles. Doesn't hide the trim switch either.
