Jason,
Why did they do away with the 800 kHz frequency on the 3D?
BTW, great video!

That's really cool stuff.

Just got done unboxing mine....Will try to install tomorrow...Can't wait to test it out

Something I noticed right off the bat:

1) The transducer cable is huge (compare its diameter to the diameter of the ethernet cable in the same photo).

2) The transducer itself is also huge. Without the bracket, it is measured at 10 1/4" long x 2 3/8" wide x 1 5/8" thick...

3) The module itself is a lot lighter than I expected....(remember handling my buddy's LSS1 module many times), but that's a plus I guess...

Last but not least, thanks for making and posting the video Jason. I wonder if it's gonna be so great that I will have to save for another one upfront as I have two LSS2 transducers running right now off both 12...

Finally had a chance to test run. Here are some photos (I have some screenshot on the unit as well, but will get to them later):

It would take some getting use to w the 3D image.... As of first glance, I had a hard time seeing brush piles even if I'd run close to my waypoints.
However, as far as the sidescan and downscan, it is rediculiously clear. Notice at 180' left right, you can see everything. The 3D is great for drop off changes of bottom.... Since the center of 3D image has a void as if you are running dead on top of a creek chanel, you can not see easily directly under the boat....will see if I can learn to read it better with practice...

I have been real impressed with the range and image detail in the down and side scan pics I have seen. Looking forward to more screenshots. Thanks for posting these.
