I'm looking to up my game and actually assemble a spoon box for conditions that dictate that sorta bite. I have a very small assortment of flutter spoons and jigging spoons, plus a BP magnum spoon. What brand/size/color do you guys like and why?

3....2.....1....GO!

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

Clear water: chrome
Stained water: chrome with chartreuse stripe or gold
Heavily stained: firetiger
or just buy chrome spoons and customize the color with holographic tape from Barlow's

Small bait fish: Luhr Jensen krocodile
Medium bait fish: Luhr Jensen Tony Accetta
Large bait fish: LFT

Not biting a traditional spoon: blade bait same colors.

I prefer the Joe Spaits flutter spoons as well. I would recommend some gold ones as well to fish aroud areas where Barfish are present.

I use war eagle sliver and white Jigging spoons for vertical fishing in the winter, 1/2- 1OZ I fish them around brush/ Rocks/ trees located near creek channels. normally 20-40ft of water.

I m planing to start using big flutter spoons this summer to gain more confidence in them. throwing a huge chunk of metal can be intimidating!

Another vote for Joe Spaits spoons. I like the 5 and 6" spoons in any color you can get. I believe Lake Fork Tackle still sells them, if not go by Joe's shop out there. Best spoon I have thrown. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.
