thanks yall, they say the first ones the hardest. Its' true, a few days later a I caught an 11, the next day a 13!  .....at least this part of the thread

Awesome fish. Still working on the DD. I do have several over 9 though. Oh, nice hat. Thanks! I was born/raised in Iowa myself! Congratulations on a great fish. Caught an 8# 10oz. largemouth out of a farm pond near Riverton, Iowa in 1988. Was my biggest bass for a long time. SE Kansas grass grower

Public water! My new PB is 13.32, I had it weighed on a certified scale at a local grocery store 24 1/2" long and 22" around!!

My scale read 12.6, I took it in and was completely surprised to see that! 13.32.
