Going down to the Galveston area in a couple weeks. Will I still be able to catch some flounder? What will be biting at that time? Speckled trout, sheepshead, etc? Will be fishing from the jetties and piers, maybe my kayak. Thx!

I waded the bay today, caught 5 reds, 2 kept. They were all in an area 50' x 50'.

I've just now got 1 year of this coast fishing under my belt, and I can tell you I've been anxiously awaiting it to get cold. As good as the speck and red fishing was in the surf this year, I did not have any better days than I did wading last January-February when it was 45 degrees outside and usually raining.

Several days last year in January I caught specks, reds and flounder.

Bring your waders and get out of the wind in the bays. PM me if you want more details.

Keep the Lord in your heart and keep your powder dry.
